Q. Which product would be the most advantageous for me or my company?
A. Q. Do I get a replacement car if mine is off the road?
A. This depends on the type of contract you select. Click here for more information about the individual contracts.
Q. What payment options are available?
A. All payments must be made by Direct Debit on a monthly basis from your nominated bank account.
Q. Who is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is serviced?
A. This depends on the type of contract you select. Some contracts have an option to select maintenance or it may be more economic to pay for servicing separately. If you choose a contract without maintenance it is your responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is serviced in accordance with the manufacturers recommended intervals or as indicated by the servicing indicator within the vehicle. In 2009 we will also have the option to purchase separate maintenance cover even where you have a contract that does not typically offer a maintenance contract.
Q. What happens at the end of the contract period?
A. Again, this depends on the type of contract you select. Whatever choice you make, our in-house renewals team will be on hand prior to the expiry of your contract to provide your options and guide you through the process. You can also click here to find out about options on specific contracts.
Q. How is any damage to the vehicle treated when it is returned?
A. If you have an contract will permits you to return the vehicle at the end of the contract, LeasePlan always takes a fair view on the condition of the vehicle at the end of the contract. The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association have developed guidelines on what constitutes Fair Wear and Tear and LeasePlan adheres to these in all cases*. Where damage falls outside of those described in the guidelines, you should arrange for repairs to be made before returning the vehicle, otherwise a charge will be made to you to rectify.

Q. What happens if I do more than the contracted mileage?
A. If you have a mileage sensitive contract then a pence per mile charge will be levied for every mile over the contracted mileage. The pence per mile is shown at the outset on the quotation. Some contracts do not have mileage penalties. Ask us for more information.
Q. Whose name will be on the V5 registration document?
A. Again, this depends on the contract. Some types of contract require the vehicle to be registered to the finance company throughout the contract period, whereas others may be registered to you from the outset or changed into your name before the road fund licence renewal becomes due. When we are quoting you we will be able to tell you according to the type of contract and vehicles what will happen in each case.
